Products that have stood the test of time

We have just had a customer who has had an Anglepoise desk lamp for the past 40 years and has just bought a new Anglepoise 1227 for his son. His own lamp was also a present from his father when he was still at school. A simple tale but in the midst of a hectic day it caused me to stop for a moment and wonder if a similar scenario would take place for the next generation and so on.

VAT up again

Well here we are again and the government has seen fit to put VAT up to 20%. As this involves a large amount of work on the poor old retailer we have decided not to implement this rise until 1st February 2011.
