When Geoffrey Harris
Lighting was established in 1999 our vision was to work with the very
best lighting manufacturers and design companies. We also wanted our lighting
products to hold a timeless quality that would enhance any room décor
with a touch of contemporary elegance. So when we found products like
the Bestlite wall light or the
Le Klint 101 we knew our customers would embrace these design
classics.
The story of the Bestlite
began in 1930 when Englishman Robert Dudley Best first designed it. On
release it caused quite a stir being declared the first manifestation
of Bauhaus design in Britain and was further popularised when one was
photographed on the desk of Winston Churchill’s air raid shelter.
That ageless design continues to be produced for the modern era, from
the original desk lights, and now the Bestlite wall light, with the design
remaining as enduring as ever.
